Dr. Hogue’s FAQs

  • In 2026, $240 per 50-minute individual session. Payment is due at the end of each session.

The Garden follows the Manitoba Psychological Society’s (MPS) recommendations.

  • No. Dr. Hogue does not direct bill insurance companies. Receipts are provided for clients to submit to their benefits provider, if applicable.

  • Appointments are offered Monday to Friday during daytime hours, with the latest start time at 2:15 p.m. Dr. Hogue does not offer evening or weekend appointments.

  • Session frequency is decided collaboratively and varies by person, goals, and resources. Many clients benefit from meeting more frequently at the beginning to build momentum, though we tailor this to what is clinically helpful and practically sustainable.

  • Only when clinically relevant. Therapy is focused on you within a warm, professionally boundaried relationship.

  • Yes! Ideally, we gently and transparently talk about the end of therapy from the beginning. From early on, we discuss together what “better” looks like, so therapy supports your life rather than becoming indefinite.

  • Ideally, it’s planned. Many clients benefit from a clearly identified closing session—where we review progress, consolidate what you’re taking with you, and clarify next steps.

  • Transparency is valued at The Garden. If your needs would be better supported by a different approach, provider, or level of care, or if you are looking for something outside of the scope of clinical psychological services, we’ll discuss it and collaborate on a thoughtful transition.
